Default theme, pings, icons and more (posted 13:03)

I've added a bunch of new features, and made some minor changes, today. Spruced up a few things, changed a few things, that sort of stuff.

• Pings no longer re-ping when quoted multiple times
• Pings now link directly to the right message and delete the notification when clicked
• The stained glass theme is now the default for new users
• The map icon bar has a new image for the shop
• The map icon bar has a new link for the fortune teller
• King Esdras has been to the spa and has a spruced up image

Mining Loot! (posted 15:04)

Been toiling at the coal face? Dragging wealth from the mountain tunnels? Wondering what to do with all your precious metals? Well wonder no longer, here's a whole bunch of things.

Stackable Items (posted 6:35)

A few items that can be combined with themselves through Alchemy (e.g. Goo) can now be stacked up directly in your inventory for free. Just click one of the items and you'll see a link for combining it with another one.

Mining in Allambrus (posted 2:04)

The mysterious fire Grophs living inside the Volcano Allambrus have spent centuries riddling the mountain with mines and shafts in search of precious metals and priceless gemstones. Now your Grophs can join them in the new Texolan Mines.

As well as existing fragments and gems you may also be able to find some of these new items. Note, you can now buy Pickaxes as tools from the tool shop, in addition to the existing Military Pick weapon, and both will work in both the new mines and the Lava Fields.

Globbits Galore (posted 5:09)

For those of you with a deep love for all things Globbit you can now dress your Groph's in the uniform of Globbit monks! You'll need to visit the Globbit shrine store, and have plenty of Gloseeds, or find someone willing to buy them for you of course.

Minor Changes (posted 3:39)

Some minor changes

• Clicking to add a smiley now adds it at the insertion point not the end of the message
• The navigation bar at the top of shops now shows the normal path (e.g. Wurld : Grophtown : Shops) instead of the old 'back to' link
• Acolyte's Coats now cost 1 Gloseed and are available in the Globbit Shrine

Ping other users! (posted 5:01)

From today you can now ping other users on the forums by putting [@login] in your message. They will get a message telling them you pinged them and giving them a link to the thread. e.g. to ping David you'd use [@david].

Please don't do this crazily, it will drive people mad and you will get a forum ban, use responsibly.

If you don't want to be pinged you can turn pings off in your User Details (under forums). Also users you have blocked cannot ping you.

Features Open for Harvest and Halloween (posted 1:20)

Fancy yourself an artist? Always wanted an item on Grophland (or in the case of many of you, more items)? Well the Harvest festival and Halloween are coming and we are looking for item submissions for both, so get on over to the Features forum and submit some. Also we are still taking submissions for redraws of older items. Check the sticky post in the features forum for a list of what still needs attention.

New Quest (posted 14:52)

A new quest was made available today, taking the mystery of the two brothers further. There are a number of avatars and items involved, but I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise. You should probably start with this one though. (Hint ... you might like to visit Aquaria)
