Icefall begins today! (posted 0:24)

It's the 14th day of December, and that means it's time for Icefall all across Grophland. Grophs are out knocking icicles from the rooftops, eating Linger cookies, wearing red, and exchanging gifts. As ever your beloved Mayor Amadeus is handing out a gift a day in the Town Hall so don't forget to come on every day and get your special item. (First one pictured below)

In addition this year you can all get in on the act! Pick up an Icefall Giver from the container shop and you can place your own choice of items on your Lookup for anyone who passes by to take. Giving is the spirit of Icefall, so join in! Finally Alice the Sage has added a Winter Forest Hood to go with the warm Winter Forest Robe she already sells.

Fine Weather Continues (posted 1:29)

Grophlanders have noticed the continued lack of snow this year, as the winter continues fine and clear for day after day. The few flurries of snow in the last week have hardly been enough to bring the icicles and snow covered rooftops normally associated with Icefall. Although young Grophs are unhappy, farmers and sailors are happy at the continued good weather.

Ladies and Gentlegrophs, Boys and Girls, it is time for a huge step ... to change the hair for Land Grophs! We have been using the same artwork for the last 7 years now, and I've always been too afraid to change it, but that time is no longer! We have new hair, and we are introducing it now! First though, a comparison. Here is some current hair ...

We (the staff) think it looks a whole lot better, and we hope you agree! In case you don't please visit the Wig Store and purchase a Classic Wig, which will force your Groph to use the old style hair and not the new. Now enjoy!

Grophland Chat (posted 2:24)

Well most users have seen this now, since we've been running a trial for most of the past week, but for the unobservant or confused, Grophland now has a chat feature!

You can find the chat in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Simply click the Chat tab to open it and it will stay open on each new page (unless you change this in your preferences). Click the tab again to close it. At the moment the Chat is a single global channel for all users, though we will look into 1 to 1 chats in the future.

New Theme : Rust (posted 5:52)

So I've added a new theme, Rust. It's a little darker and more gritty than the ones we've had before, but very close to the original theme. Why? Because if people think it's suitable it might even become the new default theme. So take a look and leave some feedback in the General forum.

Today we are pleased to announce the introduction of Rateable battles, Single Player Pit battles against monsters of your Rank that can actually raise your combat stats and give other rewards! Unlike normal single player battles, which leave no injuries and offer no prizes, rateable battles are designed to be tougher, and more worth doing.
