Reports are coming in of some sort of disaster in the desert! Famed archaeologist Doctor Hawawawas has apparently been rushed to a doctor's tent for medical care, and no one seems to know exactly what has happened to his dig. Desert nomads are leaving the area in droves, and they are telling stories of some sort of monster coming out of the sand! What's going on!!
A new default ability has been added to combats, concentration. This will give your stats a small boost for 5 rounds.
The Combat system has had a major overhaul today. You can now add a stake to combats when you issue the challenge, both players pay the stake and the winner wins the total. The display has also been changed. It now shows the description of your items, as well as how many times they can be used. Items in use are hilighted, and tell you how many turns of effect they have left. Items that have been used the maximum number of times are shown in grey. The new system also means you can now stack different items with the same effect (such as two shields). Previously you couldn't do that.
All the titles that lost their names have now been changed to a new set of names. In addition a slew of new titles are coming to the castle today!
Famed Groph Archaeologist Dr Hawawawas has recently been taking part in a top secret dig in the desert. This dig is so hush hush that even the location of the site has been kept hidden! However rumors now suggest that Dr Hawawawas is close to some massive announcement. Speculation is rife as to what he may have discovered, but as yet no one knows for sure. Keep your eyes open for any further news!
Two new animals have been added today. The Bafft is a sweet, shy, little animal that makes a fine pet. The Hungry Kebos is an answer to everyone's prayers, it only eats Splats!

It has become obvious that many Grophs are at the point where its much better to enter contests, or use potions, than train. Potions are a particular problem, since they have a fixed cost per point of stat bonus. As of today stat altering potions (Brain, Speed and Thorn) have a maximum stat of 100. They will not work on Grophs with a higher stat. Look out for new potions that will!
Due to an error, the custom names you may have given to items have been reset back to their original names. I appologise for this.
A lot of new weapons have been released today, so there are a lot more options for the top fighters. There are also a few more basic weapons for beginning fighters, some very powerful one shots for rich warriors, and some new defensive items as well.

A bug in Tic-Tac-Toe that allowed you to play over other people's pieces have been fixed. People who have been abusing it to beat people can no longer do so.
You can now Quicksell multiple items from your inventory, just like you can from your coins. Until this code has been properly tested you should check that held items are not incorrectly sold when you enter a number greater than the number of that item in your inventory.
There have been some changes to the luck system today. When I designed the luck system I did not test it at very high luck values (100+). At this level various games broke, and it was possible to make money so easily that it was not longer a challenge. Because of this various games affected by luck (fishing, ruins, butterfly hunt, slots and dice) have been tuned to put in maximum effects that luck can have.
Further the effect of permenant luck items (Lucky Stars and Clover) have been limited, so that the maximum permenant luck you can now have is +50. You can still have greater luck, through random events and contributions to the town well, but permenant luck over 50 is no longer possible.
Today we have a pair of very odd toys, ones that all your Grophs play with at once. Why would they want to? Well that's quite another question!

Another mystery cave has now been unveiled, the gym! The gym controls what sort of contests you can enter. By upgrading your gym you can enter bigger contests and get better prizes!
