Very Sad News (posted 12:20)

Victoria and I just wanted to share some bad news with everyone. Sadly Victoria's father passed away this morning, after a short battle with cancer. The funeral will be soon, so you can expect both of us to be away from Grophland for a little while. We know that this news comes at a pretty bad time, considering everything that has been going on with Grophland, and we are sorry about that, in all ways, it comes at a pretty bad time for us too. Hopefully we will be back and around soon, and get on with the job of seeing Grophland safely to its new home.

There have been a few changes to the basic nest and pool sizes today. The Straw nest now only holds 2 Grophs (like the salty puddle). Basic accounts now have access to nests sized 2, 4 and 6 (instead of just 4 and 6) and pools of the same size. The Fake Fur Nest and Simple Pool still hold 10 Grophs, so paying for your account gives you access to up to 28 Grophs now! I addition all upgraded pools (for which players have paid in the past) now have their size upped by 2 to be the same as the nest sizes.

Just a quick update on how we are doing for payments. So far Grophland users have paid us $685 for accounts. This is over halfway towards the cost of our new dedicated server! However we still have $505 to go ... and Victoria and I can only really afford to put forward $300 of our own to help out, so we really need some more to come in. We only need another 20 or so people to pay and we will do it ....

So if you can, help out Grophland today!

You can now upgrade to a paid account from the payments page (under the explore menu). If you plan to pay for your account then please do so as soon as you can. We need to raise enough money to pay for a dedicated server in the next two weeks or grophland will go offline. Thanks in advance to everyone!

PAYING FOR GROPHLAND!!! (posted 5:19)

Please can all players go to the General forum and read the PAYING FOR GROPHLAND thread. We are having to introduce a yearly fee for all but the most basic accounts, and we need to know who is willing to pay for it. If enough people don't pay Grophland will have to shut down. Please, if you are willing to pay $15 a year for your accounts then go to that thread and let us know. If we get enough people who tell us they are willingto pay then will go ahead with a dedicated server, otherwise we will probably be offline permenantly in a couple of weeks.
