A new shop has opened in the desert, the desert treasure store. Here the trader Amdulla will buy your treasures, sometimes at great profit. Beware however, for sometimes she will buy them for less than they are worth instead! Her prices change once per month, so watch carefully for the best time to sell.
Something new from the Jungle's depths ....

Thanks to all of the people who really appreciated our april fools' day joke! Some of you enjoyed Groll-land so much that you wanted to keep your Grolls. We will be trying to think of a way to include more Grolls in the game but it may take us a little while. (Groll costumes perhaps?) For those of you who thought that groll-land was a reason to swear on the boards and insult me ... your official warnings are on the way!
As you all know Grophland has become very popular, which is giving us a few issues with bandwidth and storage space. Because of this we have been forced to slightly cut down on the number of different images used on the site. Don't worry though, we have taken careful research and used only the best and most popular images to make this change, in fact you are highly unlikely even to notice the difference!
We've taken the opportunity to make a few other refinements here and there as well, to do with the theme and so forth, nothing major ...
The Jungle goods store seems to be getting in some new stock ... brought to you by the Alchemist, while a new Jungle Knicknack store has opened too.

Now, when looking for other users, you can choose to see the list of accounts registered today. Just click 'joined today' in the top bar of the list owners screen.
Please read the Membership Drive sticky in the General forum. We need every member's suggestions on places to advertise and ways to get (and keep) more users. We need you!
A new article has been added to the Grophlopedia with the complete text of Kayakino's War of the Pyramid story, describing the events of the war with Sellara and Nekhefus.
As of today all users will find a new icon in their items screen, the storage chest. The storage chest is a free container than can hold an unlimited number of items, of any type. Items placed in the storage container are out of circulation. They can't be sold, zapped, given, discarded, displayed or anything else, effectively the game will treat them as if they don't exist until you take them out of storage. Putting items in storage will significantly reduce the size of the items table and hopefully speed up the site, so you are all encouraged to do it!

From now on the default blocking settings for new accounts will be to accept Grophs and Items from friends only. That should help prevent the deluge of unwanted grophs and items that new users oftern get.
In case anyone is wondering where David has been for the past few days, he has been ill with a very bad case of food poisoning, and not in much shape to come on Grophland and do stuff. Hopefully he will be back in charge soon.
How about this nice new toy to cheer up a bored Aqua?

Reports of starving Kebos have been trickling out from Jungle Island. Rumour has it that a sudden increase in splat collecting has left the Kebos without enough to eat.
Chancellor of the Grophland national Bank, Mr. Neybags, today issued his first quarterly budget report for 2006. In the report he announced that, due to recent shortages of high quality bottle glass, the price of bottle factory and shelf space was expected to rise sharply. At the same time, however, he forcasted a significant increase in bottle value, which should see the extra costs well covered by bottled groph income.
There is now a new store in Aquaria, which has opened to showcase the new fashions arriving every day
