Self-Registration is Back! (posted 9:16)

After a long period over the testing phase when players couldn't sign themselves up, self-registration is back! If you are a new player please feel free to create an account and start playing. If you have an account already then please tell everyone you know who you think might like Grophland and invite them to come and play! Put the address in your sig, email your friends, advertise it on your web page! I'll be making banners and buttons very soon for you to use if you want.

And don't worry, new items, new games, new pages and new places will be still be coming!

Interest Rate Shock! (posted 6:25)

In a shock announcement today the head of the Grophland Central Bank, M. O. Neybags, cut the base interest rates sharply. The basic rate of interest fell from 1% to only half a percent, while even more dramatic cuts were made in some of the banks high rate accounts. Mr Neybags said the action was necessary to combat rampant inflation across Grophland, but the move has left many small traders in disarray.

Up until now the shop code has not correctly given new items a defence or damage value. This meant that armour, weapons, and healing seeds did not actually give any bonuses. This has now been fixed, and all other item creation code (fishing, ruins, butterfly hunt, grophtet, random events) has been fixed in a similar way.

Some new items coming today, as ususal, including some more armour. Look for them in Grophtown shops.
