The keen eyed amongst you might realize that your pets have gotten a lot more powerful today. All pet items have had their bonuses doubled. This means that a pet that previously gave you +3 Agility (for example) will now give +6! Costs have also gone up in line with this, and a few pets have become rarer, but generally you should find pets a much better buy.
Those lucky enough to have access to Amadeus' shop may find this bizzare new item here ... but where did it come from?

Fresh from April's fools ...
![]() |
Happy April Fools everyone! I can't believe we got you again, even when you knew we were going to do something :) Just for the record there was no lawsuit, there were no banners, and we didn't need to know what your graphics card was.
Looking forward to next year!
We have decided it's best to have everyone fill out an application for their lookups and storefronts. That way, we can verify if the images violate copyright infringment laws. This may appease the people that are threatening lawsuit, as well. I don't have time right at the moment, but a friend set up this website with our new Copyright Policy, and an application for your lookup and storefront codes. Sorry for any inconvenience. The website is here http://www.freewebs.com/grophlandapp/
It is with some regret that I have to announce that Grophland is having some financial issues right now. This is due to problems with copyright infringement on the part of users that is costing us money for legal expenses. I am not sure exactly how we will be responding to these problems, I'm busy thinking of answers right now.
For the moment we may have to suspend lookups and shop descriptions, and I wouldn't be surprised if we had to introduce some form of advertising to help fill the funding gap. I do appologise for this. I'll keep people updated when I know more.
Signatures now cannot have text bigger than 13 pixels. This is to get rid of annoying forum signatures in huge text.
Also there is a new preference in the User Details to turn off the viewing of Grophmail signatures as well as forum ones
Eat if you dare!

Cooking is all the range in Grophland (or it should be), so the various cookery related items (Stove, Potion maker, Spice Bowl) have moved to their own shop in Grophtown, soon to be joined by other cooking tools. Food Sacks have also had a little face-lift, they now show any cooking tools in their own box at the top of the page.
This grand mask is a gift for those who responded to Victoria's thread on Egyptian Gods

I am currently working on some changes to try and reduce the amount of scamming that goes on amongst some of our users. Changes so far :
At last we lean what Captain Qat meant by a deal with Mayor Amadeus. The Pirates of Tollia appear to have opened some sort of lottery game on Salt Street. It looks like you can buy tickets from the Tollian there and then they may give out some sort of prize on Wednesday. Is it a scam? Only time will tell.
Claude the antique seller now gives more money for retired items, and can set a price for new artifacts as they come in
Your friendly neighborhood mayor, the almighty Amadeus, has prepared a document warning his subjects about the dangers of scammers and the scams they pull. We encourage everyone to visit the town hall and read it.
Ellyria is here again, and this time it brings many new items

You can now also go fishing in the deep sea and catch deep sea fish! It's a bit more expensive than the beach though. So far the game does not appear on the Aquarian map, but you can find it in the House of Games
Here's my contribution to the beach theme, the Rockfish and Wako River Porpoise
