Having no family of his own, Braig was raised in the Grophtown hatchery, only to be abandoned after becoming too grown. Despite not having a proper home, Braig was determined to have a proper education. He studied both science and mathematics, and was most fascinated by the mysterious Stone Circle.

One day, while studying the circle, Braig ran into his now wife; Brigitte Penvellyn. Disapproving of her mystical ways at first, Braig soon fell in love with Brigitte. In little time he was taken in by his wife's owner, Melodious.
