Marlena is a canny Snail Herder. With her beloved pet snail Devious, Marlena made the Dairy Fair 2nd place in the contest of 1110. The same day her first great-grandson Son Flinny was born.

Marlena pretty much lives for eating. Putting her passion to good use, she runs Marlena's Foodstuffs where you can find almost everything that isn't retired or a snowflake. And what you can't find there, you can still marvel at in Marlena's Food Exhibition.

She is also the boss of the loose Land Groph Clan in Mote Cave. In practice, things aren't that simple though - Adormeus, Lorna, Mahvash and Waverly belong to Azulon's gang, whereas the Fire Grophs Nasreen and Zushel gather and grow fruits for Marlena's shop.
